Welcome to A TOUCH OF AMISH ONLINE.  The 3,000 square feet shop, located in Barrington's historical district for more that 20 years, is proud to be honored and highlighted as one of ten outstanding quilt shops in the Spring/Summer 2007 issue of the Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler.  Lynn Rice, shop owner and her staff proudly welcome you to come and visit the shop and see the newly displayed quilts. 

Once again the Touch of Amish staff has been busy creating ideas and quilts making this a September to remember!  a Touch of Amish has New Saturday Samplers, Three Spectacular Sales, Christmas Shopping Days, Retreats, and Free Demo's that you won't want to miss!  Scroll to the bottom of the page for updates and make sure you check all the pages for new and updated information!  Look for the coupons for local businesses!

The Quilt Sampler issue has been released and is available at A Touch of Amish.   Kits are available to make Lynn's Quilt "Hidalgo's Ocean of Fire".  This is available in two sizes.  Come into A Touch of Amish for a first hand look or check back soon for it to be available on the shopping cart!

One of the oldest shops in the Chicago land area, A Touch of Amish is a quilt haven full of the latest fabrics, books, patterns, battings and notions.  There are classes, clubs and demonstrations going on almost daily.  The shop has something special for everyone--from the novice beginner to the most accomplished, experienced quilter.  

Once again the shop has prepared some wonderful Club projects for 2008.  The Clubs are a great way to learn and make new friends.  The Block of the Month project is bustling right along and upcoming classes and clubs featuring  Thimbleberries, Civil War Collections, and Jo Morton Fabrics are among the several exciting projects that A Touch of Amish has planned.  The Fall Retreats have two weekends planned, more information will follow. The latest fabrics are now in and displayed at the shop as are many new patterns and kits.  Wet your sewing appetite clicking on the fabric gallery button to see pictures of the latest projects.  Come by the shop, join us in one the the FREE DEMONSTRATIONS and then feast your eyes on the colorful and delectable fabrics and patterns, and get an early start on your Fall projects.
